On May 8, 2009, three of MSST LA/LB's prospective Chief Petty Officers were indoctrinated into the 'Chief's Mess.' Each of the three Chiefs spent 100's of hours preparing for the indoctrination by searching out the wisdom of more senior Chiefs as well as raising money for the Chief Petty Officer's association. Becoming a Chief is a significant step in one's career as they transition into one of the most valued positions within any unit. A special thanks to our prospective Chief's 'sea lawyers,' LT Vera, LT Shaner and LTJG Kelly. We'd also like to thank Master Chief Cotter and the Los Angeles Area Chief's Mess for their support of our new Chiefs. Congrats again Chiefs!
