Team Update

It has been another very busy past few weeks filled with inspections and operations. Bravo Zulu to the entire team for all your hard work and for months of preparation for our Standardization Team and DOG Ready for Operations assessments. Your superb response to the unannounced USN Commander, Thrid Fleet and CG PACAREA Exercise and a High Interest Vessel boarding immediately following our assessments, showcased your expertise and proficiency in mission execution and mission support. Your work with our local, state, and federal port partners in conducting numerous small vessel boardings, port security boardings, K-9 sweeps, cruise ship escorts, and ferry boardings ensured the safety and security of the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports and surrounding harbors and waterways.

Thank you to our Ombudsman, Ms. Stepheni Norton, who has been working diligently on our Family Day/Pre-Deployment training scheduled for Saturday, 19 Sept from 1000-1330. We are still looking for volunteers to assist in several areas. Please see 17 August post for more information. We are honored that Rear Admiral Lee, Commander, Deployable Operations Group will be joining us on Saturday as well! There will be a lot of great information for everyone and it will be an excellent opportunity to meet other families and enjoy some great food and camaraderie.

I look forward to seeing you there!
