I've been having a few challenges with the internet connection of late, so I apologize for the delay in updates to the blog. We hope this finds you all doing well and that you're enjoying the holiday season. We continue to stay busy and everyone is doing well.
- Thanks to the Garrison Crew for all of your hard work and outstanding support. Our unit signs arrived this week and they are... tight! I know that you're putting in many hours on training, renovations, maintenance, administrative support, pay, orders, supplies, property and much, much more. Your efforts contribute directly towards maintaining our operational readiness and taking care of our fellow Guardians. I could not ask for a better Team!
- On Saturday, 12 December many members participated in the 10-mile Torch Relay to support the Special Olympics. All members completed a portion of the course and some even ran or biked the entire distance. Participants included: LT Burkhalter, LT Danaher, PO Houghton, PO Knight, PO McDonald, and PO Ketchum. Congrats on going the distance and thank you for supporting a great cause.
- Congratulations to Petty Officer Hayward who re-enlisted indefinitely(!) on Monday, 14 Dec 2009. Thank you GM1 and your family for your dedication and devotion to duty. Good luck at Basic Tactical Operators Course... we know you will excel!
- A big thank you to our Ombudsman, Garrison Crew, family and friends who put together some unbelievable care packages! We gave them to members that hadn't received very much mail and the packages were a huge morale boost. I cannot tell you what a difference it made to their day. Please know that your efforts made a very positive impact - thank you!
As the holidays quickly approach, know that we are thinking of you and thank you for your continued support.
