Nestled in a valley of the Chattahoochee National Forest, Wahsega 4-H
Center will host the Joint Reserve Component Teen Leadership Summit.
During the week long adventure from July 10-15, teens will participate
in high adventure activities such as high ropes, white water rafting,
hiking, archery, survival classes and more! Leadership classes taught
throughout the week will allow teens to identify their leadership
strengths and participants will be introduced to community partners who
assist military families where they live.
Airfare, transportation while at the Summit, registration, food and
lodging is covered by the Extension-Military Partnership. Parents are
responsible to get their teen to/from the airport, baggage fees, and any
spending money for snacks/souvenirs.
The Joint Reserve Component Teen Leadership Summit is open to teens aged
14-18 who have a parent currently serving in the Army National Guard,
Army Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air National Guard,
Air Force Reserve, or Coast Guard Reserve. Applicants will be required
to complete the entire application, including essay questions.
